About Sie

We design the home and take responsibility for delivering it.

Sie is a residential interior architecture and fit-out studio in New Cairo. A home designed around the people who live in it deserves to be built that way too, by a team that stays accountable from the first conversation to life after handover.

01

Meaning behind Sie.

Sie means you.

Sie is a German word. Written with a capital S, it is the respectful, formal way of saying “you”.

The name points every project back to the person it is for, and to the respect that person is owed: your routines, your relationships, the things you keep. The design starts there, not with a style.

02

Beyond aesthetics

Interior architecture comes before decoration.

Most interiors are judged on the day they are photographed. We would rather be judged on an ordinary weekday, two years later.

Life-centered interior architecture means the plan, circulation, storage, light and services are shaped by how the household actually lives, before a single finish is chosen. Style follows from that. It is never the starting point, and it is never ours to impose.

03

One accountable team.

When design and construction are bought separately, the gaps between them become the client’s problem. Drawings are interpreted rather than followed, decisions get made on site under pressure, and the homeowner ends up coordinating people who should be coordinating each other.

Every handover between parties is a place where intent can be lost, and every unresolved question finds its way back to you.

  6. You, informed and deciding

One team holds the brief, the drawings, the budget and the site. When something needs a decision, you hear it from people who understand the whole project.

The people who draw your home are the people who answer for it on site.

04

Stillness, Identity, Evolution

A home should do more than photograph beautifully. It should understand the people who live in it.

Stillness, Identity and Evolution guide how we design spaces that feel considered today and continue to work as life changes.

Stillness

Clarity without noise.

We reduce unnecessary visual and spatial noise through clear circulation, thoughtful storage, considered lighting and fewer, better-resolved elements. Calm comes from a plan that removes friction before a finish is chosen.

Identity

The reflection of the inhabitant.

Your home should reflect you, not a preset style or a designer’s signature. We plan from your routines, relationships, habits and the things you keep. What you already own and love is part of the brief, not an obstacle to it.

Evolution

The intelligence of a space that grows.

Children grow. Families change. Routines evolve. We design for that reality through adaptable planning, materials chosen to age well and continued involvement after handover.

05

Our commitment.

“We promise to create spaces that are unmistakably yours, designed with intention, built with precision and care to evolve with life.”

The Sie brand promise
Quality
Clear drawings, coordinated services, quality control during the work and snagging before handover. Quality is checked, not assumed.
Responsibility
The team that designs your home is the team that answers for it on site. There is no one else to pass a problem to.
Transparency
Decisions, approvals, budget movement and variations stay visible to you throughout the project.
Thoughtful design
Every decision needs a reason, and the reason comes from how you live.
Long-term value
Materials chosen to age well, plans that can adapt, and follow-up at 30 and 90 days after handover.

06

Our brand cause.

Human wellbeing and quality of life.

Sie stands for a better quality of life, shaped by clarity, balance and intention.

We believe wellbeing improves when friction is reduced, decisions are thoughtful, and everyday experiences feel calm and supportive. For us, human wellbeing is not an abstract value. It is the standard our choices are measured against.

In practice, that means designing for comfort, calm, safety and ease, and thinking about everyone a home has to serve, including children, older family members and people with different physical needs.

Our purpose is to honor the full complexity of human life through technical expertise, and to support people as they evolve, express themselves and belong.

07

Sustainability

We consider people and the planet together. A home that is built well, used well and kept for a long time is one of the most responsible things we can deliver.

We would rather show these choices project by project than make broad claims.

  • Responsible materialsMaterials are selected for how they perform, how long they last and where they come from, not only for how they look.
  • Less wasteResolving the design before site, value engineering and careful procurement reduce rework, over-ordering and changes made under pressure.
  • Built to lastDurability is part of every specification. Finishes are chosen to age well and to be maintained rather than replaced.
  • Ethical decisionsWe weigh cost, quality and impact openly with you, and we do not recommend what a home does not need.
  • Continuous improvementFeedback from our 30- and 90-day reviews goes back into how we design, specify and build the next home.
  • Informed by the UN SDGsGoals 3 (good health and well-being), 11 (sustainable cities and communities), 12 (responsible consumption and production) and 13 (climate action) inform how we approach our work.

08

European Code.

Our technical standards are European-informed. We look to European building codes and standards as a reference for how a space should be detailed, made safe and built to endure.

It is a benchmark we choose to work towards, not a certification or membership we claim.

Quality
Detailing, workmanship and safety held to a standard we would accept in our own homes.
Transparency
Clear scope, clear pricing of changes and clear reasons for every recommendation.
Responsible sourcing
Suppliers and materials chosen with durability, origin and impact in mind.
Respect for the client
Your time, budget and decisions are treated as yours. We advise; you decide.
Privacy
Your home, drawings and personal information are handled with discretion, and we ask before showing your project publicly.
Ethical conduct
Honest advice, fair dealing with suppliers and trades, and safety on site treated as part of quality.

10

A word from the founders.

I have spent my career between the drawing and the site, and I know how much gets lost between the two. Sie exists to close that gap. When we draw a detail, we already know who will build it, because it will be us.

Building a home should never feel like a gamble. My job is to make sure you always know where things stand: what has been decided, what it costs and what happens next. That is what we mean when we say Sie means you.

Tell us about your home.

Whether you are renovating an existing home or starting with an unfinished space, tell us what you have, what needs to change and how you want to live in it. The first conversation is exploratory, not a sales pitch.

Our residential fit-out projects typically start from an execution value of EGP 2 million.
